DGT was the first company to build an Outsourcing Facility (OF) in China by erecting one at the Beijing global office. The OF is dedicated exclusively for Microsoft (MS) projects. This facility, which has been operational since July 29, 2005, provides room for initially 50 and soon 100 DGT staff working on MS projects.

The OF has a direct connection to the Microsoft network affording DGT the capability to interact with Microsoft's projects. The network within the OF has been separated into a Microsoft Network area, which will have connectivity to intranet resources, and an isolated private network without connectivity to the MS intranet for projects with sensitive information.

DGT has strictly implemented all Outsourcing Facility security requirements of Microsoft Information Security, so that all MS work can be conducted in an area that is isolated from other DGT parts both, physically, and in terms of network layout. Other physical security measures are enforced to mitigate the risk of information leakage.
